  1. Hey Eric,

Thanks a lot for the opportunity. Quite a long post but I feel it is necessary for a topic like this.

  2. A great guest post! I liked the first step of picking items in your life that matters. No one can do it all. It’s about prioritizing, and picking what are the most important things to you. It’s different for every person. Also, time wasters are different for every person as well. For me, TV isn’t necessarily a time waster. I love watching specific shows on TV, and make time to do that, but I agree that mindless channel surfing is a pointless time drain.

How you spend your time is a choice. Choose to allocate that precious resource wisely.

  4. Very nice post. I think the most important line is, “If this already sounds daunting to you then consider how much you really want to get your life in order and work on the things that matter to you.”

That is such a huge thing, the importance of putting into context what you really want and realizing that something needs to be changed and it will feel uncomfortable at first. I was (and still am more than I’d like) one of those “watches too much TV” people. This year I started cutting it out incrementally, not cold turkey, but it has made a big difference already.

Also love the line, “Balance Will Only Make You Efficient, Not Happy” Too true, and excellent food for thought.

    Thanks!

  5. Great post, Glen. I particularly liked your point that living a balanced life might make you efficient, but it won’t necessarily make you happy. The whole idea of living a “balanced” life is a bit of a myth, I believe.

  7. Great post Glen, I can really identify with the need to search out and find one’s time wasters. I continually find myself asking where time goes and wishing there were more hours in a day. Suffice it to say, I am sure I could find some additional time if I were to really search for it.

    Thanks,

  10. Great post, Glen!
I like your way. It’s also interesting, how do you like to rest? I’m sure that you truly enjoy what you’re doing, but do you also practice some kind of “non-doing”?
    Thanks!

  11. Great post. It works out well to break down the areas for improvement and then tackling them in small steps. This works well in a flexible schedule for incremental improvements that really begin to add up.
