hi . bro. such an inspirational topic u wrote. thanq. i want to become an army officer. i m having flat foot . m not eligible for medicals of army. bt i hv nvr stopped dreaming to be there. i always surf on net about inspirational thoughts or topics so dat my confidence may not fall down. i m having a hope of getting selected on da basis of my abilities on which i believe. i dont hv any problem with my foots. despite of dat i run much faster n much more than my friends…………… hope dat i get to my goal soon…… love u bro. n thanks for such a nice article

@ anonymous I have the same problem, I cant even talk to anyone about my dream beacause there arent many believers out there around us who believe in what they call fiction. I just dont tell anyone and keep it to myself and try to build the bridge from where I am to Where I achieve my dream life style. but thats hard but in my opinion its better than risking people brainwashing you and normalizing your life.

Well, my dream is to have an idea to be accepted and credited to me, but the problem is that each time I give out my thoughts, all my friends and family say it won’t work, so I try and try again, and get the same response. So I ask you, anyone, how to get my dream running if I can’t even build it to show it does or to even get a job is hard in my condition.

@ Clint I’m glad you got the message. No matter how cynical the haters may be, you have to stand strong. Only listen to criticism when it benefits you and doesn’t degrade your passion.

@ Travis Do what you love regardless of what other people say. I adore your last sentence: the impossible is nothing.

People used to tell me all the time that I couldn’t write or I should change my topic. Who are they to tell me that I should change what I love doing? People will always be ready with deconstructive criticism, so prepare yourself if you seek to attain the ‘impossible’.

That’s how I got into writing (and also setting up my own website.) Everybody used to criticize me, saying “being a writer won’t get you very far… why don’t you study something more useful, like law or engineering?” Yet here I am today doing WHAT I LOVE why all those people who once doubted me aren’t saying a word. The impossible is just a figment of our imagination; the impossible is nothing.

I am always open to criticism, but I ignore it when it's unproductive. If you want to do the impossible, ignore what others say while heeding their advice if it seems practical. More often than not, it's usually just discouraging. Clint’s last blog post..Investing for Happiness: Part 1
