OK, so I decided to give “Motivate Thyself” what I feel is an up to date look. I think it looks a bit more current and also allows me to feature more specific content rather than just have the latest appear on the top front page. I’ll be tidying up here and there over the next week or so, but for the most part, it’s close to finished.
So first and foremost, clear you browsers cache just to make sure you’re viewing everything properly. There’s a chance you may be seeing bits of the old theme if you don’t.
Secondly, what do you think? I’d love to get your feedback so feel free to hand me your 2 cents.

Looks great Eric. Not a drastic change, but I think it’s definitely for the better. I like seeing lots of different stuff on the main page. It even feels cleaner than before, which I didn’t think was possible!!

I like the layout! It’s sleek, crisp, and easy on the eyes. I am trying to redesign my blog as well, but am a little stuck in terms of how to do it, and what codes to use, etc..

I’m going to be gutsy and take an opposing view. (Please don’t all hate me.)
Yes, the site looks super clean, and all the white space makes it easy to read. In those respects, it’s terrific. However, I’m not a fan of the black and white color scheme. It looks a bit sinister to me.
When I think of words like “motivate” and “freedom,” black is not the color that comes to mind. I think of something brighter, happier and well, just more colorful.
As for the Cloud Cadet box, I think it should have something that looks “cloudish.” Maybe it’s the font or maybe it’s an image to accompany the letters in some way. Let the visuals reinforce the actual words.
Also, you are trying to brand yourself as the Cloud Consultant. I think that’s a great idea. How about adding a small picture of yourself to that box, maybe off on the right-hand side. And put your name directly beneath it, small. Then people can associate your face and name with your title. It’s not being immodest; you’re building a brand!
Last comment (promise). I’d recommend losing the quotes around “Motivate Thyself.” They distract from the actual words. “Motivate Thyself” is a bold statement, but you’re detracting from their strength by saying via the quotes, “according to me.” Just say it and let those powerful words stand on their own.
I’ll shut up now.
