About M2A!

Motivate2ACTION! is something I came up with to help add structure to the motivation I offer on this blog.  I don’t want this to just be a place where you dream, I want this to be a site that you come to, expecting real changes in your life.  I want to build a community that is not only interested in reaching THEIR goals, but in helping others do the same.

How does it work?

All you need to do is go to the current month (this can be done by clicking the banner on the right sidebar, going to M2A! Main and clicking on the desired month, or by going to the current month in the navigation bar that is a sub category of ‘Motivate2ACTION!’.) and click on the desired week.  I’ve given each month a theme in which we will focus on throughout the month.  The month is split into 4 weeks where we will go through a process to try and make positive changes in regard to the current topic.

What am I trying to accomplish?

My main goal with this idea is to help you, as well as myself, get off this roller coaster ride of progress.  Let’s take a look at the whole ‘new years resolution’ thing for a moment.  It’s basically a time where people set a goal to accomplish the things that they couldn’t accomplish the previous year.  And after they fail to really follow through, they just make it the NEXT years resolution and so continues the cycle.  I want us to always be looking for ways to improve our lives.  I want January 1st to be just another day.  Another day of making the most of what we have and striving for a better life.

What can YOU do to help?

It’s quite simple:  Participate!

I can only create the structure but YOU have to help create the content.  I know that I am responsible for the posting content, but the real meat of this particular area of the site is in the comments.  The more you participate by posting your goals and thoughts and helping each other along the way, the more we will see new visitors do the same.  So it’s up to you guys to really make this work.

Re-Centering: Finding Your Way Back To The Life You Meant To Live

It’s amazing how far off course we can get when we’re not watching our steps. We just wake up one day and wonder, “Where the heck am I and how did I get so far off my intended path?”

The Simple Joy Of A Beating Heart

The average human heart beats around 100,000 times per day. It’s one of the most common occurrences in our human existence. And yet for Liz and I, hearing that tap-tap-tap was the only thing on our minds. As we waited in that room, Liz on her back in that awkward position once again, the tension grew while we anticipated the findings.
