Official ‘Sign In’ Post…

With my latest zenhabits guest post I have once again been privileged to receive an influx of new readers. After many emails and wonderful conversations, it’s become apparent that this blog needs a place where readers can introduce themselves with their own, “Hello everybody!”
So what I’m doing with this post is creating a ‘guest book’ for “Motivate Thyself”. Feel free to share any information you think might be useful for us to get to know you better. If you have a blog, be sure to mention/describe it. This includes anyone and everyone who reads this blog on a regular basis or who is new and plans on sticking around.
Even if you never plan on commenting, but just want to read, please ’sign in’ as it’s very helpful to know my audience. And even if I already know you, be sure to add your info anyway. I plan on using this as a ‘reference to my readers’, so I hope to have as many of my readers as possible.
I appreciate you taking the time to do this. It will be very helpful for me as well as others in the community.

Hey there! My name is Stephen Cox and I write most days over at Balanced Existence (www.balancedexistence.com). I’ve read a number of your posts on ZenHabits and it is actually how I found my way here. I think I also may have started following you on twitter…?
Anyway for anyone who is interested my blog Balanced Existence generally covers a range of topics – health, fitness, exercise, meditation, Buddhism, nutrition, success, achievement, worry and stress, and so forth. I’ve had a very broad range of interests for a long time and now I’m enjoying sharing that all in the one place.
All the best,
Stephen

Hello. I’m Scott Carver from The Ever-Changing Thought. I AM a recovering alcoholic. I almost feel as though my life is just starting out. I do not remember a time past when I was as happy with life as I am now. Part of that happiness comes from my blogging. Part of it comes from just being around folks like yourselves. It’s nice to feel like I have a “place” now.
The Ever-Changing Thought is not just for alcoholics. I’m trying to split it up into teaching others how to deal with just life. From setting Goals, Motivation (which is how I bumped into you), Humor, I guess it’s just an everyday read, you just don’t know what your going to get from it, but there is something to be gotten, daily.
I’m very much enjoying sharing my life, as embarrassing as it may be sometimes. But man, it feels GREAT to get it off of my chest. My Mothers even learning a thing or two about me (good and very bad) that she didn’t know
I’ll quit rambling. Thanks Eric!

Ha! All prepared for this because of a submission I wrote yesterday. I love it when I can reuse effort! *grin* Here goes:
The Urban Panthers Lair is all about curling up with a coffee and sharing life experiences. It’s about finding out that no matter who we are, or where we live, we are all human. And while our experiences might not be identical, they are certainly similar.
The Urban Panther, a Canadian Government Number Cruncher and Writer, is often called the Erma Bombeck of the blogosphere. She openly shares her life experiences, and encourages her readers to do the same.
Pretty fancy-schmancy-schmoozy write up, eh?

Hi, nice idea Eric…
I’m Ross from Will It Change You?
I’m 31 years old, happily married with a great family, but have reached a point in my life where I’ve realized there’s a whole heap of things I can improve on!
My background is predominantly health care, I’ve spent many years dealing with individuals and families in times of immense hurt and loss.
My blog has a personal growth focus, with posts on motivation, parenting, physical health, productivity, and basically “change”.
Feel free to check it out sometime – as a side note, I’d like to say I rank zenhabits and motivatethyself as two of my favorite blogs to read, cheers guys!

Hi, Eric!
I’m Pace of PaceAndKyeli.com. We blog about communication, personal development, and ethical entrepreneurship. Motivation is a big topic that has come up for us often in our own transition to work-at-home entrepreneurs and professional bloggers. Without a boss, how do we motivate ourselves to accomplish our goals?
We’ve come up with our own answers to these questions, but we’re always interested in learning more, so I thought I’d drop by and see what you have to say.
Thanks for blogging! I enjoy reading what you write.

Hi I’m Neil from Be 4 Success. I’m 33, married and father to a wonderful 3 month old son. My background is in banking and I do occassional pulpit supply (guest preaching) around my area.
My blog grew from a desire to merge these two aspects of life together to provide simple steps towards being more successful. The blog also covers personal growth and health. While I certainly don’t claim to be an expert in all of these area’s the blog is more focused on the journey, rather than the destination.
Hi All,

I found Eric through Zen Habits after finding out he has been a successful computer consultant for some time now. He’s been a great resource of knowledge and insight into the business and his blogs are top-notch!

Hi Eric. Thanks for this opportunity. I have enjoyed your posts. My name is Jennifer (aka Danifer) and I really enjoy blogging. I am interested in many things, so my blog does not really have a classification. I write about my thoughts, opinions, entertainment news, my family and I make many attempts at humor. I have a series about my daily commute which I am sure everyone can find similarities to. I also enjoy reviewing movies, Wii games, etc. I want to connect to my readers by publishing posts that they can relate to. Please check out my “Thoughts From A Down-To-Earth Girl”. I seem to be a minority, as I don’t run a self-development blog, though not for lack of spending nearly every spare moment reading or thinking about topic. Hi! I’m Stephanie and I don’t blog at all. I’m newly divorced, “just starting out” in life and designing my life to be the kind of life I want it to be for the first time in 23 years. I love reading blogs because they are written by “real” people and the blogs that catch and hold my attention deal with real life issues. I look for bloggers that share my values and ideals in regards to lifestyle, balance, purpose, spirituality and living a life that doesn’t conform to society’s limited views. I look for bloggers that write about issues that have depth, substance and meaning as opposed to surface issues. My almost daily reads include Jonathan Mead’s Illuminated Mind and Zen Habits…. I read your guest post and subscribed to your blog after having read some of your earlier posts. Good stuff…. Keep it coming!!!!
Hi Eric – this is my first time here, I found myself on your site via “The Jungle of Life”.
I publish a blog called WiredParentPad which centers itself around parenting teenagers in the information age. Some of the topics are techie, some are not.
As others have said, this was a great idea. Thanks for the opportunity for us to introduce ourselves. It’s funny, I seem to run across many familiar faces on the various blogs I peruse through (Vered, WriterDad, Your Friendly Neighborhood Computer Guy).

Hi, I saw your guest article on Zen Habits and commented there. We lost four babies before we had our little miracle. I’m new to blogging but started to keep family and friends up to date on our new baby. Instead, it’s become a place where I try to get my own thoughts organized. I found myself overworked and burnt out and looking for new ways to create time for my baby and myself.
Hi everyone,
My blog is about how I’m planning on retiring at 40 years old. It’s going to be quite rushed since I’m almost 33 but I reckon I can do it.
Since I started the blog, I have been 100% fulfilled with life and buzzing off every second. I am saving more, spending less, downsizing, biking, exercising more, eating better and just generally living life to it’s fullest…all brought on by the excitement and motivation that keeping a blog about it gives me.
Thanks for giving me the opportunity to introduce myself and keep up the good work.

Hi Eric!
My name is Hans. I’m from Sydney, Australia. I thank you so much for giving this opportunity to introduce myself and my blog.
I’m still new in blogging and need to meet more people everyday in my life to earn advices and suggestions.
My blog is about “stay young look young”. My intention in initiating this blog is to share with people of how I learn to stay young and look young through my everyday life lessons. I realize how important for us to delay the aging process and this job is actually easy and simple just by noticing our daily routine whether it is wrong or right to be learned or to be taken corrective actions.
That’s all I can describe, so far, about my blog. Hope to get more responses and support from you and the others soon.
Keep good job Eric!

Hi everyone! Lot of names and faces I recognise. This is a great idea, Eric. Something I’ll be thinking about for my new blog! It’s taking a while to put together – I’m a recovering technophobe – but that’s one of the reasons I’m so fond of Eric – he makes everything feel do-able!
I’m a full time mum living in Scotland – two t(w)eenagers- and I’m also a certified homelife coach and writer.
I love details, and my favourite coaching thing is helping folk create homelives they love. I just found your blog today and am very glad I did. I was reading your “About Me” page and I can really identify with the things you had to say. Like you, I didn’t live a healthy lifestyle in my teenage years and a little after but thankfully I changed my ways too! I am heavily into self-motivation and have studied it and like topics for several years now. I even started a blog of my own recently (thinkformoney.com). Hi, my name is Sean, and I am a certified hypnotherapist/massage therapist/energy worker. I found this blog by way of Zen Habits.
My blog is not up and running yet. But when it is, the topics include personal growth, personal wellness, and life design. This means rewriting your patterns, expanding your comfort zone, and designing a life you love to life.
I am interested in blogs that are written by people who are “in the trenches” so to speak. People who are still in the process of the journey to create their ideal lives. Top of the Mountain People and their blogs are hard for me to relate to. By Top of the Mountain, I mean people who already have what I desire to create.
The saddest thing in the world for me to see is people who have dreams that don’t ever come true, and, by default, find themselves living passionless, adventureless, joyless lives. My mission is to help people reconnect to their intuition, their dreamvisions, and create lives that are full of joy, passion, creativity, magick, and adventure.
Peace & Healing All
Greetings everyone.
